PHOTOS: Fond du Lac Fire/Rescue rescues Corgi from house rooftop

It seems a Corgi dog wanted to enjoy the weather Thursday, April 16, 2026 and climbed out an upstairs window onto the roof of it’s Military Road residence.

Unable to get back into the window, (those darn short Corgi legs) the dog began to bark, which alerted a neighbor of the pup in distress.

Around 12:30 p.m. the neighbor called for assistance from the Fond du Lac Fire/Rescue Department who responded with a ladder to rescue the Corgi, which appeared to be in good spirts after it’s ordeal.

Firefighters climbed to the eagerly awaiting dog and assisted it back in the window, closing it once the dog was safe inside.
