Woman who killed other woman in Fond du Lac during drug deal gone bad, sentenced to prison
The second of two people involved in a drug related stabbing homicide in Fond du Lac has been sentenced to prison.
Yesterday Fond du Lac County District Attorney Eric Toney announced that Annaka Trudell was sentenced by Judge Tricia Walker to 35 years of initial prison confinement followed by another 20 years of
extended supervision.
Trudell was convicted of First Degree Reckless Homicide and Armed Robbery stemming from a February of 2024 murder that occurred in the City of Fond du Lac.
In that incident, Trudell, along with Dawson Miller, set up a drug deal to buy 57 opioid pills for $250 from a Fond du Lac woman.
Miller was the driver of a car that brought 20-year-old Annaka Trudell to the drug deal with Ashley Calo in the Anytime Fitness parking lot near the intersection of north Macy and west Follett Streets.
Trudell and Miller devised a plan to set up the drug deal with Calo in the parking lot, but not pay her. Miller told Trudell to have a knife with her in the event the robbery went bad.
After the altercation where Trudell ended up stabbing Calo several times, she ran back to the car where Miller was waiting and the two fled. Calo was transported to the hospital where she was
pronounced deceased.
Miller, was convicted of the Murder in September of 2025 in Fond du Lac County Circuit Court and was sentenced to 30 years in prison and 15 years of extended supervision.
Trudell pleaded no contest to charges of Reckless Homicide with a Dangerous Weapon in a plea deal.
