Families Invited to Explore 30 Libraries in Summer Passport Adventure

Families and individuals of all ages across east-central Wisconsin are invited to turn library visits into a summer road trip adventure as the Winnefox Passport Adventure returns June 1 through August 15.

The free regional program connects 30 public libraries across Fond du Lac, Green Lake, Marquette, Waushara, and Winnebago counties, encouraging participants to explore local communities, attend family-friendly events, collect stamps on their passport map, and enter for a chance win prizes celebrating our region.

At a time when many families are searching for affordable summer activities, libraries are the answer. With free and unique experiences for everyone at all participating libraries, the Winnefox Passport Adventure Map gives you a guide to discover local libraries, hidden community gems, and memorable experiences across the region.

Participants can pick up a Passport Adventure map at any Winnefox public library beginning June 1. Collect a stamp on your map at each library you visit, earning a chance to win a grand prize for each five libraries you check out.

New for 2026, residents of Fond du Lac, Green Lake, Marquette, Waushara, or Winnebago counties who visit every library in their home county will be entered into a special County Bonus Challenge drawing, featuring gift certificates from businesses local to that county.

“We want people to discover that libraries are books AND MORE — they’re welcoming community spaces full of free experiences, events, and opportunities for exploration,” said Clairellyn Sommersmith, Executive Director of the Winnefox Library System. “Whether participants visit one library or all 30, we hope they’ll discover something new about their communities and the libraries that serve them.”
