Lakeside Park bridge closed next week for staining

The Fond du Lac Department of Public Works is informing the public of the closure of the new Promen Drive Bridge starting Monday.

The bridge will be closed during the daytime only and will reopen to traffic each evening.

The reason for the closure is for staining of the bridge, which is expected to take 5 days, weather permitting.

Promen Drive will be open except for the bridge, so access to Oven Island will still be possible, however you would need to enter the park from Park Avenue on the east side of the bridge.

The Lakeside Park Pavilion remains open to traffic though only if you enter the park from the Main Street side on the west side of the bridge.

The only affect on park users will be through-traffic across the bridge will not be permitted during work hours.
