Portion of South Hickory Street Closed

The City of Fond du Lac Department of Public Works says SOUTH HICKORY STREET is closed between East Larsen Drive and Willow Lawn Road.

The closure is expected to remain in place through the end of the day Tuesday for water utility repairs and pavement restoration.

The city is also preparing for traffic changes on Macy Street and Western Avenue beginning Thursday.

The changes are part of Stage Two of the Western Avenue Reconstruction Project.

Macy Street will return to one-way traffic between Second Street and Western Avenue, while portions of Macy Street and Western Avenue will reopen.

Western Avenue will also be fully closed between Oak Street and west of the Macy Street intersection.

The City and County Government Center will remain accessible through Second Street.Drivers are encouraged to follow the posted detour routes.
