MPTC counter argues statements questioning Wisconsin technical colleges

Moraine Park Technical College is pushing back against criticism of Wisconsin’s technical college system, saying technical colleges are delivering results for students, employers and communities.

The college says more than 1,300 of its graduates entered the workforce last year, with 92% employed within six months and a median graduate salary of more than $61,000.

Moraine Park also provided nearly $3 million in customized training to more than 116 local businesses, serving more than 5,700 employees.

The college says technical education remains critical as employers continue to face shortages of skilled workers.
