Habitat for Humanity to hold dedication of latest house build

Habitat for Humanity of Fond du Lac County will celebrate the completion of another new home next month.

A dedication ceremony for the home at 467 Walker Street in Fond du Lac will be held Saturday, September 26th, from 11 a.m. until noon.

The ceremony will recognize the family moving into the home, along with the volunteers, donors and community partners who helped make the project possible.

Recent work on the house has included installation of gutters and downspouts, bathroom mirrors, trim work and the driveway. Landscaping is now set to begin.

Habitat is also preparing for its annual Hard Hats and Heels Gala, set for October 14th at the Radisson Hotel and Conference Center in Fond du Lac.

The fundraiser will feature dinner, live and silent auctions, a bourbon raffle, cork pull and 50-50 raffle, with proceeds supporting Habitat’s efforts to provide safe and affordable housing in the community.
