Train derailment closes Rolling Meadows Drive in Fond du Lac

Rolling Meadows Drive just north of Hickory Street is back open after being closed for a couple hours Friday afternoon, September 4, 2026.

The closure was due to two train cars derailing near the roadway around 3 p.m.

No significant damage occurred and no train cars came very far off the tracks, but it was enough to bring Canadian National Officials out to remedy the situation.

No information was released as to how the cars came off the rails.
