MPTC plans open house and celebrates new Jail Officer Academy graduates
Moraine Park Technical College is inviting prospective students and their families to explore its campuses during a series of open houses next month.
The Discover Moraine Park events will give visitors a chance to tour classrooms, meet instructors, and talk with admissions, financial aid and advising staff.
Students can also learn about support services and dual-enrollment opportunities for high school students.
The open houses are scheduled for November 4th in Beaver Dam, November 11th in West Bend, and November 18th in Fond du Lac.
Attendees will also receive a $30 application voucher, subject to restrictions.
Registration information is available at morainepark.edu/discover.
Moraine Park Technical College is also celebrating the graduation of 11 officers from its Jail Officer Academy.
The officers represent five Wisconsin counties, including Fond du Lac County.
The college launched the academy in 2025 in partnership with Fond du Lac County and the Wisconsin Department of Justice.
The program provides 200 hours of classroom and hands-on instruction over five weeks, helping officers meet Wisconsin’s jail officer certification requirements.
By offering the training locally, Moraine Park and Fond du Lac County hope to make certification more accessible for law enforcement agencies while helping address their training needs.
The latest class graduated on October 16th.
