Horicon Bank is marking 130 years in business
Horicon Bank is marking 130 years in business while adding a new piece of public art to the Waupun community.
Envision Greater Fond du Lac recently joined bank officials and community members to celebrate the anniversary and unveil a sculpture called “Oxbow.”
The bank was founded in Horicon in 1896 as Horicon State Bank. It was renamed Horicon Bank in 2004 and expanded into Waupun through its 2019 merger with Markesan State Bank.
The new sculpture adds to Waupun’s reputation as the City of Sculpture, with public artwork displayed throughout the community.
Horicon Bank operates two locations in Fond du Lac, which opened in 2006 and 2015.
Envision Greater Fond du Lac says the anniversary recognizes the bank’s longstanding presence in the region and its role in supporting area businesses and communities.
