Allen Eugene Parish

Allen Eugene Parish, 63, of Fond du Lac, passed away at his home on Sunday, June 2, 2013. Allen was born on August 15, 1949 in Fond du Lac, a son of Frank and Catherine (Kohlmann) Parish.

Allen was a 1968 graduate of Goodrich Senior High School.  He joined the United States Marine Corp in 1969 and he served from 1970 to 1971 as a Corporal in Vietnam.  Upon his return from serving he was employed with Mercury Marine Corporation for 37 years.

On February 20, 1971 he married Diane Stubbe in Fond du Lac. 

Allen was a family man who greatly loved his wife and family and looked forward to his time with children and grandchildren.  Allen and Diane traveled, played cards and visited their friends. 

Allen is survived by Diane, his wife for 42 years; two sons, Brian (Laura Baehler) and Steven (Anna McKinley); grandchildren, Cheyenne Marie Parish, Brandon Parish, Ethan Allen Parish, Justin Parish, Diane Jean Parish, and Allen Eugene Parish II; brothers, Kenneth Parish, Lawrence (Lynnette) Parish and Robert (Gabriel) Parish; sisters, Bonnie Parish, Mary Lou Rogler and Kathy (Roy) Moon; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

Preceding Allen in death are his parents; brothers, Lyman Parish, Joseph Parish, John Parish and Richard Parish. 

Visitation: The family will receive relatives and friends at the Zacherl Funeral Home, 875 E. Division St., Fond du Lac, on Saturday, June 8, 2013 from 10:00 AM until 12:45 PM.

Service:  At 1:00 PM on Saturday, June 8, at the Zacherl Funeral Home, a funeral service celebrating Allen’s life will be held.  Entombment in the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park, will follow.

Memorials in his name may be directed to his family for charities to be determined later.
