Robert “Bob” M. Prus

Robert “Bob” M. Prus, 83, of West Bend, and formerly of Fond du Lac passed away Friday, September 20, 2013.

He was born September 1, 1930 in Fond du Lac as son to the late Gregory and Sophia Prus.

Bob was a 1949 graduate of Fond du Lac High. He was drafted into the United States Marine Corps. in 1951 and was stationed at Camp Pendleton in California.

After his retirement in 1995, Bob returned to the Fond du Lac area.

Bob was an avid private airplane pilot and motorcyclist.  In the ‘90’s he traveled to Alaska on his bike.  He was also a ballroom dancer, a talent for which he won many awards.

Survivors include three sisters, Joanne Nieman of West Bend, Barbara Nowak of Savannah, GA, and Gayle (John) Kennedy of Green Bay; also by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many good friends especially from the Hartford Airport and the Linden Beach neighbors.

Family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday September 26, 2013 at Zacherl Funeral Home, 875 E. Division St., from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.

A Memorial Service will be held at Zacherl Funeral Home at 3:00 pm followed with Military Honors.  Burial will take place at St. Charles Cemetery.
