Thomas “Tom” F. Leestma

Thomas “Tom” F. Leestma, 53 of Fond du Lac, was called to
his heavenly home on Wednesday, November 5, 2014. He was born in Grand Rapids,
Michigan on May 26, 1961 the son of Arnold and Mona Lou Gillette Leestma. On
April 25, 1996 he married Laurie J. Conard in Fond du Lac .Tom was an avid
lover of boating, painting, wood working, camping, but above all, his family,
children and grandchildren came first. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army
National Guard. Tom graduated from Whitewater High School. He then continued
his education to receive his accounting degree at MPTC. Tom worked hard and
created an amazing company named American Dream Financial Planning. In his
short time as a business owner, he helped and inspired many.

 

 

SURVIVORS: Tom is survived by his wife Laurie Leestma, Fond
du Lac, his children; Jennifer Bonnell, Jamie (Robert Ebert) Larson, Andrew
(Alisha) Larson, Cassandra (Scott) Johnson, Nicholas (Kristie) Leestma and Thomas
Larson all of Fond du Lac. Tom was a very good grandfather “Papa” to Emma, Ezra,
Elias, Olivia, Mason, Liam and Avery. He is now able to bounce his grandson
Ethan, on his knee. He is further survived by his father Arnold (Ann) Leestma,
Fond du Lac, a brother Bruce (Cindy) Leestma, Fond du Lac and one sister Donna
Detert, Chicago, IL. He was preceded in death by his mother, his grandson
Ethan, and his paternal and maternal grandparents.

 

VISITATION: The family will receive friends on Saturday,
November 8, 2014 from 12:30 P.M. to 1:30 P.M. at the First Presbyterian Church,
1225 Fourth Street, Fond du Lac. FUNERAL: Memorial services will be held
Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 1:30 P.M. at First Presbyterian Church with
Reverend Jack Harrison officiating. Cremation has taken place.
