Benefit For Sharon Wilhelms Saturday

The Fond du Lac American Legion Hall will host a benefit tomorrow to help defray medical costs for Sharon Wilhelms who is fighting a battle with an aggressive case of cancer. Dawn Albert is one of the organizers of the event. She says Sharon is known for her good works in the community. Up until last November she also worked for Aramark in food services at Woodworth Middle School. Albert says Sharon is fighting for her life, but hasn’t lost hope. She says Sharon and Tom have given back so much to the community and now the community is returning the favor with over 70 people volunteering or donating to the event. The benefit will include a vendor fair from 8 to 11 a.m., a silent auction that goes on all day and the main event is from 2 to 7 p.m. with music, an auction, food and more. For those who would like to give, but can’t make it the Fox Valley Savings Bank has established the Sharon Wilhelms Cancer Fund.
