FDL High Risk Traffic Stop

Fond du Lac Police conducted a high risk traffic stop at the Mad Max Mobil gas station on Fond du Lac Avenue Sunday night for what was believed to be a stolen car out of Milwaukee. Assistant Police Chief Steve Klein says there were 5 people in the vehicle including the driver. He says they learned later the license plate on the car was stolen from Milwaukee and placed on a different vehicle. The driver of the car had permission to drive the car, but he was arrested for possessing the stolen license plate.  He was also cited for operating without a valid driver’s license. His passengers were released without charges.
