FDL School Board Elects Officers

The Fond du Lac School Board elected its officers and went through several other organizational steps at Monday night’s meeting. Mark Jurgella was elected board president a second consecutive year. He says he’s pleased to serve in that capacity. He says he is thrilled to do it and lead the board forward to get things done that will make the district even better than it is right now. Linda Uselmann was elected vice-president, Dr. Susan Jones treasurer, and Elizabeth Hayes board secretary. At the beginning of the meeting Fond du Lac County Judge Peter Grimm swore returning board member Mark Strand and newcomer Monica Walk in for three years terms. Walk says the first meeting was pretty easy, but she is still learning. The Board also voted to keep their annual compensation rates the same with the board president getting $1,800 and other board members $1,600.
