After more than a century, a local brand is no longer local. Rayovac is no longer a local brand. Energizer Holdings based in St. Louis has purchased the Rayovac global battery and lightning unit for $2 billion. As of yet, there’s no word what will happen to the 700 Rayovac workers in Wisconsin. Rayovac began as the French Battery Co., incorporated in Madison in 1906.
