Three People Taken Into Custody After Standoff on Hamilton Place

Three people are in custody after an armed standoff that
happened in the 100 block of Hamilton Place in the City of Fond du Lac Wednesday
morning.

Fond du Lac Police say in a news release that they received
several 9-1-1 calls reporting gunshots coming from the area just after 6:30 in the
morning.

Officers were unable to make contract with the suspected
shooter inside the home – so the police SWAT and Crisis Negotiation teams were
activated.

Two men and one woman were found to be inside the home.
Police say that around 11:40 AM all three subjects came out peacefully, and the
situation ended.

No injuries were reported, and the incident remains under
investigation by the Fond du Lac Police Criminal Investigation Division.

Assisting at the scene were the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s
Office, Fond du Lac Fire and Rescue, Wisconsin State Patrol and Fond du Lac
City Transit.
