Town Of Empire Man Pleads To Sexual Assault Charges

The 45-year-old town of Empire man who was suspected of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl and weapons charges has been convicted. Jeffrey MacMillan was in Fond du Lac County Court Thursday. He pled no contest to three counts of 2nd degree sexual assault of a child. Other charges were read into the record and dismissed including six more sexual assault of a child charges, a charge of exposing a child to harmful material, a charge of administering a dangerous drug, and 12 counts of felon in possession of a firearm.  Charges stem from a call to the home on Betty Lane and search of it last January 2nd.  Two computers servers confiscated from the home allegedly included at least 200 images of MacMillan sexually assaulting the victim. A pre-sentence investigation was ordered.
