Badgers Knock Off #2 Wolverines
Ethan Happ led all scorers with 26 points and added 10 rebounds and seven assists as the Badgers handed the #2 ranked Wolverines their first loss of the season Saturday afternoon at the Kohl Center. Michigan led 44-43 with 8:05 left to play – but were outscored 21-10 the rest of the way by the Badgers. Michigan was held to a season low in points and shot just 40.7 percent, including a 5-of-18 effort from 3-point range. The Badgers were 44.6 percent from the floor, making 5 of 13 three pointers, but shot 77.8 percent from the foul line in the win. Wisconsin improves to 4-3 in conference and 12-6 overall, they’ll visit Illinois on Wednesday.
