Hoffmann Let Go As WLA Boys Coach

Fresh off
grabbing a share of the Flyway Conference Boys Basketball Championship, Winnebago Lutheran Academy
has decided to let go head coach Jeremiah Hoffmann.  WLA Activities Director Brad Bendix released
the following statement to KFIZ via email.

“Coach Hoffmann will be replaced
starting with this next season.

The decision wasn’t based on one
particular thing.  As I worked with him,
I decided to make a change as I thought it was in the best interest of the
basketball program going forward.

Jeremiah served WLA well for his 8 plus years
here.  He advanced the Boys Program
during that time and we are better for it.
He has been a role model for many young men, including this year’s
fantastic team. He is a good man with a good family.  I wish him and his family God’s blessings
going forward. “

Jeremiah Hoffmann released the following statement to KFIZ.

“I am thankful for 15 years of great memories coaching at WLA and proud of all that we have achieved as a team. I am surprised and disappointed by the AD’s decision.”

The Vikings
shared a conference championship with Omro and advanced to the Regional Final,
where they were defeated by Waupun last Saturday Night.  Hoffmann also led the Vikings to the 2010
Flyway title.  Those were the school’s
only two boys basketball league titles since 1994.

Bendix says
that Hoffmann has resigned as head boys golf coach.
