State Republican Party Recovers Stolen Money

The Wisconsin Republican Party has recovered millions of dollars stolen by computer hackers.

All of the two-point-three million dollars stolen from the Wisconsin Republican Party has been returned. That includes almost 600-thousand dollars obtained by the F-B-I.

The fraud unit with the party’s bank recovered one-and-a-half million dollars. The rest of what was stolen was replaced through insurance payments and fundraising.

Although the G-O-P and law enforcement know how the money was stolen, they still don’t know who. Investigators say the case is still open.
