A week of near perfect fall weather ahead
Back to back high pressures weather systems will keep our area and much of the country’s weather quiet for the next week.
Skies will stay sunny to mostly sunny during the day and clear at night as well.
We start out the week in the midst of a warming trend after bottoming out at 30 degrees Saturday morning.
Highs Monday, through the period will now stay in the mid to upper 60s with lows maintaining themselves in the 40s through Friday morning, with the weekend creeping just a bit warmer when we see overnight lows drop to around 50 degrees.
We have to look all the way to Sunday, October 25, 2026, for even a remote chance of any rain, and that chance looks next to none at this point, as a passing cold front associated with a low pressure up in Canada passes by. Models have been consistent with the dynamics of that system weakening just before it makes it to our area, with just the smallest of chances of a little left over rain along the front, that IF it would still have rain, it would be just a brief light shower.
A more appreciable chance of rain looks to move in early next week as a weak low pressure finally develops and makes its way into our immediate area. While a ways out, this would start out next week with some light to moderate rainfall Monday into Tuesday with another large high pressure moving in right on it’s heals.
Temperatures stay above normal until next week’s low pressure and associated cold front move through. Behind that front we see temperatures falling to around 10 degrees below normal, or in the 30-40 degree range. This will last for only a couple days before we see things warm back up above normal with more fair, fall weather expected.
