Are we in store for a white Christmas?
We see another blast of cold air move in after a cold front sweeps over the state Saturday, dropping lows down to around 0 by Sunday morning, warming into the upper teens during the day, and at this time this looks to be the last of the below normal temperatures for awhile as the pattern makes a shift to allow more southerly winds to be the more prevailing flow.
This will all but completely kill any chances of a white Christmas as we see highs in the 50s creep into the southern part of the state Christmas day. We wont be quite that warm but low 40s will not be out of the question.
Things will be dry for most of the extended period, with the exception of a small upper level disturbance on Monday that could put out some snow showers and then again on Christmas day when a low pressure storm moves up from the southern plains bringing in some rain Christmas day.
