Armed robbery claim near Eden proves to be false report – makes this first of two false reports in three days
On Sunday, August 10th, 2025, at approximately 11:34 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the Village of Eden for a report of an armed robbery that had just occurred.
The deputy began his investigation where the reporting party disclosed that in the area of County Highway B and County Highway K, there
was a vehicle parked on the roadway with its hazards on and near the vehicle was a male individual wearing dark clothing and 3 cats.
The reporting party explained she stopped on the roadway and witnessed the male put on a ski mask, then walk up to her vehicle and began tapping on the window with a pistol, where he then entered the car demanding money.
The reporting party told the responding deputy she provided the individual with $1,200 in cash and after providing the cash, he exited her vehicle and returned to his truck and left the scene after picking up the cats.
A detective was assigned to further investigate the circumstances of this armed robbery investigation. The detective discovered significant evidence to suggest this armed robbery was fabricated.
On Thursday, August 14th, 2025, the reporting party was arrested and booked at the Fond du Lac County Jail on charges of Misuse of 911- False Emergency and Obstructing. No interviews or further information will be released at this time. If or when charged with a crime, additional details will be released in a criminal complaint filed with the courts.
