Big Brothers Big Sisters of Fond du Lac County moves to new location

Envision Greater Fond du Lac hosted a ribbon cutting at member organization, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Fond du Lac County, to celebrate their move to their new location.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Fond du Lac County creates and supports mentoring relationships (matches) between local youth (Littles) and caring adult volunteers (Bigs) in Fond du Lac County and northern Dodge County. Volunteers can sign up as a Big Brother, Sister, Couple, or Family in a community-based or school-based match. It’s their mission that all children in the program achieve higher aspirations, greater confidence, and better relationships; avoidance of risky behavior; and educational success.

The new building allows Big Brothers Big Sisters of Fond du Lac County the space to pilot a new site-based mentoring program this year. Employees from Grande Cheese Company will be matched with Littles, one-on-one, and visit at the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Fond du Lac County office twice a month after work. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Fond du Lac County hopes to expand the program to other local companies in the near future.
