Birds eye view taken of Contreras, but how?

A viral photo captures World Series MVP William Contreras looking upward to celebrate the Milwaukee Brewers’ championship victory.

Specifically, the iconic bird’s-eye view photograph was credited to Getty sports photographer Carmen Mandato.

It was captured using a specialized overhead remote camera rigged up on the stadium’s catwalk system directly above the field of play.

The Milwaukee Brewers catcher has been known to raise his arms and look up at the end of games and major plays as he is expressing his Christian faith and offering a prayer of gratitude to God.

Throughout the Brewers’ historic 2026 postseason and World Series run, Contreras has frequently accompanied this look to the heavens with the Spanish phrase, “Gracias, Papá Dios” (“Thank You, Father God”).
