Body of man found floating in Lake Winnebago

Winnebago County authorities are investigating a body of a man found deceased in Lake Winnebago Saturday, October 25, 2025.

Around 11:30 a.m. Saturday officers were dispatched to the area of the Mill Street boat launch in Oshkosh near the mouth of the Fox River.

Witnesses said they saw what appeared to be clothes floating about 50 feet from shore.

Upon arrival, units found it was a man and he was announced deceased. No other information has been released in the incident.
