Born Learning Trail Signs Restored at Lakeside Park
The United Way of Fond du Lac County has replaced several signs along the Born Learning Trail at Lakeside Park after they were stolen due to vandalism. The Born Learning Trail features interactive activities that encourage caregivers and young children to learn, play, and explore together while promoting early childhood development.
United Way extends its gratitude to the City of Fond du Lac Parks and Recreation Department, especially John Redmond, for our continued partnership over the past 11 years, as well as the trail’s founding sponsors: Alliant Energy Foundation, SPROUT, Pilgrim United Church of Christ, and United Way Worldwide.
In response to the theft, United Way Worldwide also provided additional Born Learning educational materials in English and Spanish, which are now available through the United Way office and community partners.
Families are encouraged to visit the Born Learning Trail at Lakeside Park—or one of the other locations like Villiage Park in North Fond du Lac, Columbus Park in Campbellsport, or Ripon—to enjoy interactive learning, outdoor play, and quality time together. The trail supports early brain development while encouraging children to stay active through initiatives like Play 60, helping build healthy minds and bodies.
