Brewers rally past Dodgers to take 2-0 lead in NLCS
The Milwaukee Brewers are two wins away from the World Series after defeating the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 2 of the National League Championship Series Monday night.
Milwaukee used a big offensive effort to overcome the Dodgers, with Christian Yelich delivering a two-run single in the third inning to put the Brewers in front. William Contreras also came up big, hitting a solo home run and adding two more runs batted in on a pair of singles.
The Dodgers battled back to tie the game, but Milwaukee regained the lead in the sixth inning and added insurance runs late, including an RBI single by Brice Turang in the eighth.
The victory gives the Brewers a two-games-to-none lead in the best-of-seven series. Milwaukee now heads to Los Angeles for Game 3 on Wednesday, looking to move one step closer to its first World Series appearance since 1982.
