Camp used by West Bend School District and Girl Scout Organization related to weapons and drugs call
Authorities in Washington County are investigating a man after they say they discovered drugs and firearms at a house on a camp property used by the Girl Scouts of Wisconsin orginization.
According to a criminal complaint, sheriff’s deputies were called for a domestic-related incident at the location and while investigating, found 13 guns, marijuana, psychedelic mushrooms and drug packaging materials inside 48-year-old Paul David’s residence at Camp Silver Brook in the Town of West Bend.
A spokesperson for Girl Scouts of Wisconsin confirmed David’s wife is an employee and has been placed on leave while authorities investigate. The West Bend School District also uses the camp for outdoor classes and has suspended activities there for the remainder of the school year.
According to court records show David has a felony DUI conviction in Illinois, as well as multiple OWI offenses in Wisconsin.
