Child Falls From 2nd Story Window

Some scary moments Wednesday afternoon near rural Campbellsport. Campbellsport Fire/Rescue among others called out to Helen Ln. where a caller reported a 5-year old had fallen out of their second story window.

According to FDL County Sheriff’s logs, the child apparently was leaning on the window screen when it gave way and the child fell to the ground. The child was bleeding, but did not appear to sustain any serious injuries. We did reach out to the FDL County Sheriff’s office for updates but had not heard anything further as of this morning.
