City of Fond du Lac Police investigate death at local hotel

The City of Fond du Lac Police are working a death investigation Thursday, October 23, 2025.

Shortly after midnight, Fond du Lac Police and Rescue were called to the Days Inn hotel on Pioneer Road for a woman found dead in a room.

Upon arrival, officers found the woman beyond help, saying she was cold to the touch and stiff.

As officers were investigating the scene, a Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Deputy found a vehicle in the parking lot of Hobbs Roads that was said to be part of the city’s call. The vehicle was towed to the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office for further investigation.

According to Fond du Lac Police, the 24-year-old woman died of a drug overdose, and the car was left at Hobbs Woods earlier in the day due to a possible vehicle defect and the woman and a male drove back to the hotel in a different vehicle when the man reportedly dropped her off and went to work. He said when he returned from work, he found the female deceased and called police
