Classic rock acts Foghat and Molly Hatchet to play Washington County Fair

The Washington County Fair Park & Conference Center announces the Friday headliners for the Washington County Fair.

Foghat and Molly Hatchet will perform at the Silver Lining Amphitheater on Friday, July 26th. Foghat continues to appeal to fans of all ages. They play with an energy
that perpetuates youthful exuberance, no matter how old they may be. Those in the audience, whether they discovered Foghat in the video game Guitar Hero III, from the movie Dazed & Confused, heard Slow Ride in the film ‘Top Gun/Maverick’ in 2023, or first heard them when they purchased their 1972 debut album, knows they are the real deal.

Foghat began back in 1971 when Lonesome Dave Peverett and Roger Earl decided to leave Savoy Brown and start a band of their own.

History has proven that this was a great decision. Over the years, Foghat has earned eight Gold Records, one Platinum Record and one Double Platinum record. As with any band that survives for over five decades, there have been ups and downs, and tragedies and triumphs. Through it all, they moved ahead in one form or another for only one reason: The Music.

For Foghat, it’s all about the music, always has been and always will be. Hit songs include “Slow Ride” “Fool for the City” “I Just Want to Make
Love to You” “Third Time Lucky” “Drivin’ Wheel” “Stone Blue” “Honey Hush” and “Home in My Hand”.

Southern rock band Molly Hatchet will join Foghat for Friday’s Classic Rock Night.

Their self-titled debut album was released on Epic Records in 1978 and reached multi-platinum status as the band established their reputation of working hard, playing tough, and living fast through intense touring with such bands as Aerosmith, Bob Seger, The Rolling Stones.

In 1979, Flirtin’ with Disaster was released, and history was in the making. The band went on to release eleven studio albums between1978 through 2010 which included
hits Whiskey Man and Dreams I’ll Never See.

Molly Hatchet will start the night at the Silver Lining Amphitheater at 7:00pm.
