Clean up nearly done after storm, but more snow on the way
1400 customers of Wisconsin Public Services in northeast Wisconsin are still without power as of Tuesday morning, December 30, 2025, after Sunday night’s snow storm came through the area.
This is down from nearly 30,000 customers at it’s peak during the storm.
While Fond du Lac had its share of cars in the ditch, it was much worse to our north. Most notably, Winnebago had a jackknifed semi on I-41 just north of the Fond du Lac County line and Manitowoc County had a crash on I-43 near the Cleveland exit. While the Winnebago County crash hampered traffic, the highway was never fully shut down. However the I-43 crash resulted in the northbound side being closed while vehicles were removed.
More snow is forecasted for Tuesday, but driving conditions should stay much better than Monday, as snow totals should remain under an inch.
