Concrete buckling continues to be an issue during ongoing heat wave

Pavement buckling continues to be an issue around the area due to the ongoing heat wave.

The Wisconsin DOT reported several areas where emergency repairs were needed to be made Wednesday, July 15, 2026, including one area on Highway 151 in southwest Fond du Lac County.

Around 4 p.m. crews responded to the southbound lanes of 151 near Wolf Road where a buckle was reported in both lanes.

Lanes were restricted through the area for about 5 1/2 hours while crews made repairs.
