Crack Cocaine found after traffic stop on I-41 in Fond du Lac County

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office announced Wednesday, February 12, 2025, one of it’s most recent drug busts that took place as a result of a random traffic stop.

The department announced the bust on it’s Facebook page saying a 32-year-old Appleton man was pulled over on I-41 in December for a moving traffic violation. The man stated to the officer that he was returning home from Milwaukee after visiting family in the area, but the officer had a suspicion of illegal drug activity, so he called for a K9 to do a sniff on the vehicle.

The K9 gave a positive alert and a subsequent search turned up roughly 158 grams of crack cocaine, three cell phones, and $622 in cash.

The man, who had a long history of criminal activity, was arrested and taken to the Fond du Lac County Jail where he remains with a $15,000 cash bond. The sheriff’s office said he was out on parole for the manufacture/delivery of cocaine at the time of the traffic stop.
