Crash in northern Fond du Lac County hampers southbound traffic on I-41

A semi vs SUV crash in Fond du Lac County caused significant delays on I-41 Tuesday, October 7, 2025.

The crash occurred in the southbound lanes of the highway around 1:20 pm near Lincoln Road. Though North Fond du Lac Ambulance was called to the scene, it was reported that no one was injured in the crash, but the back up it caused went all the way into Winnebago County, over two miles away.

No release was issued on how the crash occurred, but officials on scene stated the semi had come to rest in one of the lanes of traffic while the SUV ended up through the fence separating the frontage road with the highway.

According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, the highway was cleared about 35 minutes after the crash happened.
