Delta Airlines plane makes emergency landing at Appleton International Airport with landing gear issues

Pilots on a Delta Airlines plane taking off from Appleton International Airport had to abort their flight when they observed issues with the landing gear shortly after take off.

According to the website FlightAware.com, the plane was scheduled to take off at 6:20 AM for it’s destination of Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport, but it was delayed and didn’t take off until 7:38 AM.

Within minutes of takeoff, it was discovered there was an issue with the landing gear. The plane circled around Appleton and made an emergency landing back at the airport. According to Outagamie County authorities, the plane landed safely.

The plane makes daily trips to the Minneapolis/St Paul airport from the Appleton Airport. Going back to November 22, 2024, there was no issues listed with the plane though on the 3rd of December, the flight was cancelled, but a reason is not given.
