Despite area of rain Tuesday, outdoor fire risk will stay high
Though an area of rain and snow has knocked down the wildfire threat in southern Wisconsin from high to low, the threat remains high in Fond du Lac County and up to Green Bay.
This was evident Monday, November 17, 2025, as numerous vegetation fires broke out in the area.
The overall weather pattern will keep the area mostly precipitation free so the risk of fires will persist.
Local fire officials are warning those that may partake in an outdoor activity that may cause a fire to use extreme caution.
On Sunday 350 acres of wildland burned in Waushara County after hot exhaust from an ATV started a marshy area on fire.
