Driver injured in rollover crash on I-41 near Fond du Lac
Just after 11:30 p.m. Monday, February 16, 2026, Fond du Lac Fire/Ambulance and Town of Fond du Lac First Responders, along with Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Deputies and Wisconsin State Patrol Troopers were dispatched to a report of a vehicle rolled over in the southbound lanes of I-41 near Main Street.
Upon arrival, responders found a minivan on it’s side with extensive damage. The driver was conscious but unable to self extricate.
More personnel were paged to the scene to help with extricating the man with the Jaws of Life, which are hydraulic rescue tools used by emergency professionals to cut or pry apart wrecked vehicles and extricate trapped individuals.
Other officers and fire personnel were used to block southbound traffic at Hickory Street and detour them around the crash scene.
Due to the extent of the man’s injuries, ThedaStar Medical Helicopter was called, meeting the ambulance at the airport, where the man was transferred into the helicopter and flown to ThedaCare Medical Center in Neenah.
No other information is known about the crash.
