Driver injured when semi crashes and tips over

A semi driver was injured Monday, September 28, 2026, when the truck he was operating left the roadway and tipped onto it’s side.

The crash happened in Winnebago County about three miles north of the Fond du Lac County line, north of Pickett.

At around 4 p.m., a report of the crash came into the Winnebago County Communications Center on County Highway M near Banville Road.

Along with sheriff’s deputies, Southern Winnebago EMS and Town of Utica Fire and First Responders were sent to the scene.

Upon arrival, responders found the semi on it’s side with the driver unable to get out. Firefighters used jaws for life tools to extract the driver who was said to be injured, but not seriously.

The semi was reported to be carrying manure fiber.
