Driver with flashlight for headlight pulled over
Law enforcement officials in Door County are stressing the importance of properly replacing damaged safety features on vehicles after a driver there was pulled over recently with a headlight that wasn’t working.
While the operator did make an attempt to remedy the problem, it fell short of not only safety, but legally as well as the driver had fastened a forward facing flashlight where the broken headlight was.
Officials stated that proper headlights are a necessity for proper illumination while driving, especially in adverse weather like snow or fog.
The department didn’t release what charges, if any, the driver faced due to the illegal headlight replacement.
