Equipment fire at Milk Specialties prompts temporary employee evacuation

A small fire was contained to a dryer at Milk Specialties Saturday morning, July 26, 2025.

According to Fond du Lac Fire/Rescue, they were called to the business around 5:30 a.m. for a report of a piece of equipment on fire. Upon arrival, they found employees evacuating and crews worked with maintenance staff to identify the fire inside a dryer of a conveyer system.

Crews were able to extinguish the fire and ventilate the building before turning operations back over to the facility.
