Family member arrested for homicide in Calumet County

The Calumet County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide that occurred in their county Wednesday morning, January 21, 2026.

At about 10:30 a.m., deputies responded to a medical call at a residence located on County Highway HR , about four miles west of Brillion.

Upon arrival, deputies located a 66-year-old man inside the residence deceased with apparent blunt force trauma to the head.

A 40-year-old male family member was taken into custody at the scene. He was booked into the Calumet County Correctional Facility for First Degree Intentional Homicide.

Based on preliminary investigation, this appears to be an isolated incident and the sheriff’s office says there’s no known danger to the public.

This incident remains under investigation.
