Farmers Market vendors see first price increase in 11 years – additional fees go towards market safety
Vendors that take part in the Downtown Fond du Lac farmers market are seeing their first increase for vendor space in over 10 years, with fees doubling over last years cost.
The Downtown Fond du Lac Partnership announced the increase in a letter sent to past vendors.
The weekly vendor fee is increasing from $20 to $40.
The season vendor fee for a 10x10ft space is increasing from $100 to $200.
And The season vendor fee for a 10x20ft space is increasing from $150 to $300.
The increase will pay for more vehicle barriers, according to the Downtown Fond du Lac Partnership.
While a 100% increase seems steep, the new fees are still cheaper than the Oshkosh and Appleton Farmers Markets for similar sized vendor lots.
