Fatal Accident In Dodge County

A woman was killed in a fiery crash north of Watertown on Highway 26 in Dodge County late Saturday morning. Sheriff’s officials say the woman was in a minivan on County Highway Q and failed to stop for a stop sign. She pulled out in front of a semi that was heading south on Highway 26. The minivan went into a ditch and started on fire. The semi came to rest on Highway 26. The woman died at the scene. The truck driver was not injured. They were the sole occupants of both vehicles. Names have not been released pending notification of next of kin. The sheriff’s department was notified of the crash at 11:54 a.m.
