FDL Morning Rotary Participates in Back2School Program

A local literacy project is putting more books into the hands of Fond du Lac-area students.

More than 20 members of the Fond du Lac Morning Rotary Club, along with family and friends, helped with the club’s “Put a Book in Your Backpack” service project Saturday, August 15, 2026.

The group provided books to students whose families participated in the Back to School program at Riverside Elementary School.

Each student was able to select a book to take home and add to the backpack and school supplies they received through Back to School Fond du Lac.

The project is part of the Morning Rotary Club’s effort to promote reading and literacy, as well as Rotary International’s focus on supporting basic education.

Back to School Fond du Lac is supported by more than 30 community organizations and provides school supplies to local children who need assistance preparing for the upcoming school year.
