Fire damages Ripon House

A house fire in the City of Ripon drew a heavy response from area fire departments Tuesday, October 28, 2025.

At around 1:36 p.m., the Ripon, Markesan and Brandon Fairwater Fire Departments along with the Ripon Police Department were called to 545 Watson Street for a fire reported in the attic.

Upon arrival crews found smoke coming from the attic area with all the homes occupants safely evacuated.

Despite getting the fire knocked down quickly, the call was upgraded to a MABAS fire call which calls in select apparatus from surrounding fire departments to help with mutual aid.

No other information has been released on the fire.
