Firefighters called to Mercury Marine for plant 98 fire

Fond du Lac Fire/Rescue responded to a fire at Mercury Marine Friday, October 17, 2025.

Just before 6 p.m. a call was received from the business that there was a fire in plant 98 in the heat plant.

Upon arrival crews found that an oil of some kind had started on fire and black smoke was seen coming out an exhaust fan on the roof.

Fire personnel were able to quickly extinguish the blaze and keep the fire from spreading.

No other information was released on the fire.
